Art for me is a collection of shocks. This is the way art wants to enter us, into the material, through visible passages and invisible energy - from the outside to the inside. To and beyond the information that sets us apart. I approach it as a kind of researcher requesting a glimpse, to create, shock, with it.
A random and accidental shock is enough to produce a change (manipulation), which undermines the ability to predict it. It introduces me into spaces of certainty and uncertainty of creation from which a new thing is born (reaction) - there is an awakening. Only shocks may bring the person out of the sleep in which he is found.

Given a proper change - the person will be shocked and survive
Given a change that is not appropriate - the person will be shocked and fall apart

When a person disintegrates, he breaks into pieces that crave (action) another in order to survive. Shock gives me hope. He opens up for me the possibility to react and act. To actually continue to fall apart. Art assumes the material as much as it offers - sanctify the dissolution. It 'knows' that only out of the break will the human potential in her be realized - join another. That's why for me the way to create involves and goes through the question of intimacy.
